Join us on Tuesday, June 7 at 7:30 a.m. for a special FREE Bagels & Business session on Healthcare Reform Impacts led by guest speaker, Robert Davies, the Chief Support Services Officer for the Geisinger Health System and Management Solutions’ Elizabeth (Libby) Magra.
This outstanding duo will focus on the impact of health care reform on strategies, particularly for facilities; and the role project management can play in successfully adapting to reform. Presenters will walk through healthcare reforms requiring focus on wellness/population health, outpatient & diagnostic services. The result is a decreased emphasis on and investment in inpatient facilities and a move toward mid-level providers, telehealth and alternative technologies. Reform requires cost efficiency, including facilities operations. GHS’ focus on seeking LEED certification and reduction in operating costs will be reviewed. They will discuss the health system’s structured approach to facilities infrastructure renewal, specifically the allocation of capital dollars, project rankings, utility cost savings and the use of project management to meet the demands of a changing healthcare environment.
